A Pre-Wedding Shoot on The Yorkshire Coast - Matthew and Sian

Well there’s no denying that 2020 has been a massive bummer so far! Especially if you thought you were getting married this year. But you know what they say: When life give you lemons, make lemonade!

With that in mind, I met Matt and Sian at the spectacular Hunmamby Gap beach near Filey last Friday evening on what would have been their wedding weekend. We got this in just at the end of the hot spell which was lucky because it seems to have rained ever since then! The beach was quiet and the light was golden: heaven.

Couples often say to me that they think they will feel awkward in front of the camera and not enjoy it but my pre-wedding shoots are always really relaxed and we have loads of fun. Matt and Sian were soon loving dancing on the sand and re-enacting Baywatch moments for me! I love getting to know you and it’s a great chance to fill you with confidence about being in front of the camera on your wedding day. Plus you get a tonne of gorgeous photos too - winner!

I love the beach and trips there with the kids have saved my sanity at times over the last few months. Arriving at the coast always takes my breath away and I’ve been dying to do a couple’s shoot here for ages! I knew Matt and Sian love the beach too so I thought it’d be the perfect location for their special shoot. I’m coming back in August for another of my lovely couple’s non-wedding-day shoots and I can’t wait!

There’s a lot of love out there for these two. Hope you enjoy their highlights!
