A Pre-Wedding Shoot around York: Megan and Kayleigh

It’s chucking it down! Must be the August bank holiday weekend! But yesterday morning the sun came out for this lovely pre-wedding shoot with Megan and Kayleigh in York.

Do you remember my competition last Autumn when I gave away a wedding photography package? Well Megan and Kayleigh were the lucky winners! Yesterday was actually supposed to be their wedding day in The Lake District but The-Virus-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named had other ideas. So we stuck two fingers up to that and got together in York instead for some fun and some photos. We went up on the City Walls (my second time in as many weeks) and for a mooch by the river and Museum Gardens.

2020 has been a pig of a year for everyone, but especially these two lovely ladies who have suffered loss and sadness more than most of us in these recent months. So I am even more happy that they won my competition last year and that I could offer to help make something special out of yesterday, which had the potential to suck. A lot.

I couldn’t wait to get to work on their images and I’m sharing some highlights here.

Girls, I loved meeting you and I can’t wait to see you in a year for your big day. It will rock! Thanks for making the trip to my hometown, I’m so pleased you enjoyed yourselves!

Lots of love,

Amy xx
