A Sedgewell Barn Wedding: Becca and Richard
It’s always exciting to visit a new venue, and Saturday was my first time shooting at Sedgewell Barn Weddings. It’s such a pretty venue, set in acres of private farm land, with its own glamping site of 11 pods with hot tubs for the use of wedding guests.
I love venues where couples and guests can stay for the whole weekend because it helps everyone get to know each other before the wedding day and feel really relaxed as the ice has already been well and truly broken!
I also love working with non-traditional, laid-back couples like Becca and Rich, so this wedding really ticked all my boxes! Their main criteria for their photography was that they didn’t want any cringe - perfect!
Sedgewell Barn is a blank canvas venue for couples to decorate as they please, and you’ll see that Becca and Rich went for an explosion of colour which looked absolutely stunning, from the bunting to the napkins, flowers and even Becca’s boots and hair. They had been collecting coloured glass jars for some time, I think, and it was worth it. The table flowers were so beautiful, as were the dried bouquets (a nifty idea because you can keep them!). And the wedding cake was insanely colourful, featuring models of their beloved dogs - amazing.
A very unique touch was Pedro the confetti pony who delivered confetti to the guests and hung out for some obligatory selfies!
I’m looking forward to working on their whole gallery. For now, you can enjoy their highlights slideshow. Take a look below for the full list of lovely suppliers.
