A York National Centre for Early Music Wedding: Laura and Richard
Hellooo! Well it’s been a rubbish week in Covid-land in our house. We’d done well to escape it so far, but it’s got us good and proper this week as we’ve dropped like flies. At least the weather has been cheering!
I’m up and about a bit more today and another thing cheering me up is looking back on this gorgeous wedding of Laura and Richard from last month. It was my first time shooting at The National Centre for Early Music in York, and I really enjoyed working there!
The fun started in the morning at a gorgeous and quirky holiday-let, before heading to the registry office for the ceremony, through town for some pics and then over to the NCEM. We certainly packed it in! It’s always great fun walking around with a bride and groom who become celebs for the day!
Memorable moment of the day: ZIP-GATE! The zip on one of Laura’s lovely bridesmaid’s dresses broke with less than an hour to go before the ceremony. Amazingly, she found a seamstress on the other side of town who agreed to take a look, so ran there, taxi’d back and was back in time for the ceremony with the dress on and looking gorgeous! Amazing.
The wonderful Covid meant that Laura and Richard had a postponement and a venue change along the way, so this one was long-planned. They were such a lovely couple to work with, and I’m so happy they had such a wonderful day in the end. The sun even came out for them in an otherwise chilly month: perfect!
Thank you, Laura, for this great feedback:
