Where will we go?

I like to keep these pretty close to York - definitely within an hour - but that’s my only limit! All types of location can work really well for this kind of shoot: urban, rural or water! You let me know the kind of look you’re after and I can give some suggestions about great locations. Or, if you have somewhere special in mind, just let me know.

During the Summer months, a weekday evening will be best as I’ll be busy shooting at weekends. Plus we’re most likely to get some gorgeous golden light in the evening!

What will we do?

Your pre-wedding shoot is a great opportunity for us to get to know each other better. So we’ll explore the location, talk and have fun. I love hearing all about your wedding plans. Oh yes, and I’ll be getting some great pictures of you along the way!

You chose me because you want relaxed photographs so there won’t be lots of stiff posing. I’ll gently guide you into some great positions to get the best shots while we talk and have a laugh.

My couples always say they were surprised how comfortable they soon felt about the camera. Hopefully you’ll forget it’s there pretty quickly! If you’re a bit anxious about being photographed on your wedding day, you’ll feel a lot more confident after your shoot as you’ll be used to the way I work.

What should we wear?

Generally, whatever you feel comfortable in and that feels like ‘you’. Heavily-patterned clothes and big logos are best avoided. If you feel like wearing complimentary colours, that can work well.

How long will it take?

Generally 1-2 hours depending where we are.

What will we get afterwards?

A bunch of fantastic images!

After your shoot, I will select and edit all the best pictures and present them to you in a password-protected online gallery (the same way your wedding pictures will be presented). You will receive a pin so that you can download and save your images. If you like, you can order some prints directly from the linked store.

This will take about 2 weeks and you can expect more than 50 images.
